Jewish cemetery in Lezajsk with the grave of Zaddik Elimelech Weinsblum is situated to the Southern East of Market Square. On the cemetery there are located: a building with the grave of Zaddik and surviving macebas (gravestones). Zaddik Elimelech (also called Majlech from Lezajsk) was one of the greatest members of the hassid movement. He lived in years 1717-1787 and worked as a psychologist and philosopher. The Day of Adar 21st (it is the sixth month of the Jewish calendar and a March in the Julian calendar) is the anniversary of his decease. Every year multitudes of orthodox Jews from the whole world over come that day to Lezajsk.
