Information

Parish church of St. Mary Magdalene from the 18th century build in 1764-1765, in the late baroque style with two symmetric elliptic chapels with a copula. Next to the church there is a belfry. The interior of the temple is kept in the rococo style. There is the gravestone of Maria Amalia Mniszech from BrĂźhl Family made of pink and black marble, carved by Jan Obrocki.Wall-painting in the vault presents scenes connected with life of Mary Magdalene. The painting in the high altar presents Mary Magdalene as penitent. The painting is a copy of an original picture of Pompeo Girolanio Batoniego which was destroyed in 1944. The copy is painted by Stanisław Jakubczyk. The sculptures in the high altar presents four virtues: love, faith, hope and penance. A tabernacle and a pulpit with sculptures of four evangelists are impressive. There are rococo candlesticks and Stations of The Cross on the walls. Chapel doors were made by blacksmith-artists from Drezno. There are two confessional boxes in the rear of the church. There is a gravestone of Franciszek Stadnicki in the vestibule, carved by Jan Obrocki. The church was destroyed many times, also in 1944. It was rebuilt after war, in 1954 and in 1964-1965. The church was also restored in 1999-2005. The sacristy has been renewed lately.
